About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cleaning and Maintenance Associate to join our team at TJX Companies, Inc. As a key member of our store operations team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring a positive customer experience, and supporting the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Maintenance and Cleaning: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the operation of floor care equipment, dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
  • Adhere to Operational Standards: Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards, ensuring a safe and secure environment for customers and associates.
  • Customer Service: Role model established customer experience practices, providing exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, maintaining open communication with management and associates.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrate adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced retail environment, responding to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Requirements
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for all customers.
  • Physical Stamina: Possess physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate floor care equipment.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Demonstrate strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Communication Skills: Possess strong communication skills, verbal and written, with ability to listen and respond appropriately.
  • Teamwork and Collaboration: Demonstrate a strong ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors, supporting the growth of the business.
