Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Technician to join our team at Advent Health Riverview. As a Biomedical Technician, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and repairing biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and diagnose biomedical equipment issues to determine the root cause of the problem
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Assist more experienced technicians with complex repairs and maintenance
  • Document all repair actions and submit reports as required
Requirements
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • OR equivalent military education
  • OR participant in the formal GEHC Biomed/FE Services Internship or Military Externship program
  • OR High School Diploma/GED and 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Analytical and communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues to customers in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Working Conditions

The successful applicant must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs. unassisted and frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit and stand for long periods of time.

Candidate must also be able to reach at, above and below shoulder level, flex/extend neck and have good hand and finger dexterity.

Specific vision abilities required by this job may include color, close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.

Willingness to be available "after hours", or work a rotating On-Call schedule, including weekends, for critical issues and coverage, as necessary
