PACU Registered Nurse

UCI Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Perioperative Services department. As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities- Provide individualized patient care to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to physicians
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Current CA RN License
- Current BCLS
- Current ACLS
- Current PALS
- 6 months recent experience as a RN in a acute care facility in PACU and/or ICU/CCU or Surgery Center
- PACU experience
- Basic Dysrhythmia Course and 12 Lead EKG Competency Exam
- Hemodynamic monitoring course
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- CCRN and/or CPAN certification
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
