We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at the University of California Irvine Medical Center. As a PACU Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients from the operating room to the recovery area.
Responsibilities- Provide individualized patient care, addressing physical, psychological, and spiritual needs
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and manage patient vital signs, medication, and treatment plans
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
- Current California RN license
- Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- 6 months recent experience as a RN in a acute care facility in PACU and/or ICU/CCU or Surgery Center PACU experience
- Basic Dysrhythmia Course and 12 Lead EKG Competency Exam
- Hemodynamic monitoring course
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- CCRN and/or CPAN certification
- Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
- Background Check and Live Scan
- Legal Right to Work in the United States
- Vaccination Policies
- Smoking and Tobacco Policy
- Drug Free Environment
