Radiation Oncology Nurse Specialist

We are looking for a knowledgeable and compassionate RN to provide exceptional patient care in our radiation oncology unit. In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and execute patient care plans related to radiation oncology care. You will work closely with nurses, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, physicists, and radiation oncologists as well as a team of cancer experts and resources from the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing care for patients receiving various forms of radiation therapy following a cancer diagnosis
- Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and executing patient care plans related to radiation oncology care
- Maintaining cultural and diversity awareness when interacting with patients, visitors, co-workers, and other customers
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A graduate degree from an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- 1 year of oncology or radiation oncology nursing experience in a clinic and/or acute care hospital setting (preferred)
- Current certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) is a plus
