Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN to deliver exceptional patient care in our radiation oncology unit. In this role, you will provide care for patients receiving various forms of radiation therapy following a cancer diagnosis.

  • You will educate patients and family members on radiation treatments and side effects for a wide variety of cancers.
  • Working closely with nurses, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, physicists, and radiation oncologists, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and execute patient care plans related to radiation oncology care.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License.
  • 1 year of oncology or radiation oncology nursing experience in a clinic and/or acute care hospital setting preferred.
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification.
  • Current certification as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
