Job Overview

The Compliance Testing Analyst at American First Finance plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and internal policies. This position is dedicated to the execution of compliance monitoring and testing, as well as identifying potential risks associated with consumer protection laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Monitoring: Conduct thorough monitoring and testing to evaluate the organization’s compliance with state and federal regulations, ensuring all practices align with consumer protection laws.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive work papers and reports that detail monitoring results, risk assessments, and suggested corrective actions.
  • Reporting: Communicate findings effectively to relevant business units, ensuring transparency and understanding of compliance results.
  • Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks within processes and controls, recommending improvements based on regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to foster relationships and enhance understanding of compliance issues and processes.
  • Audit Support: Assist in providing necessary information during internal and external audits, as well as regulatory examinations.
  • Additional Duties: Participate in other projects or tasks as assigned to support the Testing and Monitoring team.
Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience in consumer protection regulatory compliance, internal auditing, or risk management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of relevant state and federal compliance regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with SQL queries is a plus.
