OBJECTIVE
This role is accountable for overseeing all facets of store operations, ensuring an outstanding shopping experience for every customer by adhering to established company protocols regarding sales, customer engagement, and employee training. The position guarantees a secure work environment and a safe shopping experience while optimizing company profitability through effective management of store operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operational Management
  • Ability to analyze profit and loss statements to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
  • Proficient in utilizing computer systems and point of sale technology to maintain precise inventory and manage the cycle count process.
  • Oversee inventory accuracy by supervising cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Support the General Manager in addressing human resources or loss prevention matters at the store level as needed.
  • Supervise cash handling procedures and ensure necessary communication with the corporate finance department.
  • Coordinate facility management to ensure the safety and security of both customers and staff.
  • Assist the General Manager in adhering to budget constraints concerning controllable expenses and driving profitability.
  • Ensure that brand and operational standards meet or exceed expectations to maintain brand consistency.
  • Guarantee that store presentation standards are consistently achieved and upheld.

  • Customer Engagement
  • Support the General Manager in fostering a seamless customer service environment that is friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient for both customers and team members.
  • Maintain customer focus during the pick-up and checkout processes.
  • Address claims and fulfill other KCM/MOD responsibilities as required.
  • Ensure optimal scheduling coverage, particularly during peak traffic times.
  • Collaborate with corporate headquarters personnel.

  • Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to inventory, human resources, and cash office activities.
  • Ensure timely shipment of web orders, including samples (e-commerce).
  • Manage financial records for profit and loss and assist the CEM with operational budgeting and spending compliance.
  • Support the sales team with merchandising resets, displays, and display credits.
  • Oversee workers' compensation matters and related claims, maintaining OSHA logs in coordination with the Store Support Center.

  • Logistics/Warehouse Management
  • Direct and supervise truck scheduling, communicate logistics, and manage scheduling challenges.
  • Assist with customer pickups, auditing storage, and maintaining pre-sales/FDX.
  • Participate in sales resets in collaboration with the warehouse team.

  • Team Leadership
  • Evaluate and review associate performance regularly.
  • Train, develop, and supervise associates while defining their workload.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Manage direct reports to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor associate retention and career development, sharing insights with the General Manager.
  • Address and document performance issues and policy violations through appropriate disciplinary actions and counseling.
  • Ensure adherence to scheduling, hiring, payroll, and business planning processes.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and support organizational expectations and systems.
  • Be available to open and/or close the store effectively.
  • Perform additional managerial responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3-5 years of experience in retail management with a proven ability to direct operations.
  • Capability to thrive in a high-volume, complex environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-starter qualities.
  • Proficient in recruiting, hiring, and training staff.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in managing a fast-paced environment while adapting to change with urgency.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Occasional travel may be necessary, including air and car travel.
  • While performing job duties, employees may frequently encounter a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the workplace is typically quiet to moderate.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical Work - Ability to exert force occasionally, and/or lift 20-30 pounds frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Employees are often required to use their hands and fingers for handling or feeling. Frequent standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling is required.
