Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a highly skilled Behavior Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work directly with individuals diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement Behavior Plans: Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Data Collection: Accurately collect and record data on client behavior and progress, using designated data collection methods and software.
  • Behavior Management: Apply behavior analytic techniques to address and modify challenging behaviors while promoting positive behavior and skill development.
  • Skill Development: Assist clients in developing daily living skills, communication, social skills, and academic skills as outlined in their treatment plans.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the BCBA, other Behavior Specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent and effective implementation of treatment plans.
  • Training and Support: Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay current with best practices in behavior analysis.
  • Family Support: Provide support and guidance to families, including sharing progress updates and offering strategies to reinforce interventions at home.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sessions, including progress notes and incident reports.
  • Ethical Practice: Adhere to the ethical guidelines and standards set forth by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) and relevant professional organizations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in psychology, education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certification: Current RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
