Overview: The Bank of New York Mellon is on the lookout for a Specialist in Metrics and Analytics to establish, develop, and uphold a significant array of metrics while analyzing business intelligence data to guide strategic business and product decisions. The successful candidate will cultivate relationships to gather necessary data for metrics and integrate historical data from various industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources as part of their analytical processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver collaborative assistance to Audit leaders and their teams by utilizing analytical expertise to ensure that strategies and metrics align with Internal Audit objectives.
- Oversee data analysts by defining business requirements, distributing tasks, and validating outcomes.
- Guarantee that the data solutions are in line with project goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Incorporate advanced analytical methodologies using tools such as MS Excel, Tableau, Python, and SQL.
- Streamline testing procedures through the use of software bots developed in UiPath.
- Create reusable scripts in Python to extract financial data from unstructured PDF documents.
- Conduct data cleansing, transformation, and parsing using metadata documents from various mainframe/database systems like DB, Oracle, and Vertica.
- Automate IT General Controls testing, Credit Risk Review Process, and Electronic Payments Monitoring by developing test scripts.
- Visualize findings on a Tableau dashboard for effective analysis of high-risk areas and propose remediation strategies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering (any), Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 6 years of experience in the role offered or in a related field.
- Proven experience in supporting Audit leaders, defining metrics, creating software bots, developing scripts, and automating processes.
Compensation:
The base salary for this role is anticipated to be competitive within the industry. The final salary will be determined based on individual factors including experience, location, and other compensation elements. This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to adjust compensation at any time.
