We are seeking a skilled Employer Tax Specialist to join our team at Equifax. As an Employer Tax Specialist, you will play a critical role in administering client unemployment accounts, ensuring accurate tax rate assignment by the states.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Audit and verify system-generated client letters, rate projections, tax rate notices, and annual reports.
  • Investigate and resolve state debit/credit notices and miscellaneous documents, and send them to the client.
  • Update the client database, including adding new clients, updating client information, and serving as a liaison between clients, state agencies, and field operations.
  • Ability to comprehend and complete Change of Status (COS) forms and lay-off/claims impact studies with a Manager's assistance.
  • Audit and complete unemployment and withholding registration and transfer paperwork for 1-2 assigned states.
Requirements:
  • An Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role within a professional office environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and ability to build positive relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational, decision-making, and prioritization skills, including a proven ability to multi-task.
  • Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office PC applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Aptitude for mathematics, ability to comprehend technical information, and apply these skills in a professional setting.
