Job Description

As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiovascular Unit, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals with complex medical conditions. Your expertise and compassion will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, and implement individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, and referral needs.
  • Monitor and record patient condition, communicating effectively with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Work as an advocate for patients' physical and emotional well-being, promoting their independence and autonomy.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Kentucky required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Handle With Care (HWC) certifications required within 6 months of hire.
