Role Overview:
The Educational Support Specialist plays a crucial role in the Resource Program, working closely with students with disabilities in a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with certified educators to provide tailored support to students in small groups or on an individual basis, reinforcing educational concepts as guided by the instructor.
  • Assist in the organization and upkeep of educational materials, equipment, and student records, ensuring compliance with each child's Individualized Education Program (IEP).
  • Engage in additional tasks as assigned by the special education teacher or supervisor to effectively meet the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications:
  • Possession of an Associate Degree and/or 60 college credits, or successful completion of the Para-Pro Exam.
  • Experience in an educational setting or with child groups is preferred.
  • A compassionate and supportive demeanor, with the ability to connect with children with various special needs and disabilities.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the rights of all students.

Employment Terms:
This role follows a 10-month schedule, comprising 183 workdays at 35 hours per week. Compensation is competitive and includes a comprehensive benefits package along with tuition reimbursement.
