Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Head Teller to join our team at Access Federal Credit Union. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising the activities of the teller operations area, ensuring accurate and prompt member service, and maintaining the vault.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Teller Operations: Assign work, answer questions, solve problems, and explain policies and procedures to members.
  • Assist Head Teller: Handle teller activities, ensure accurate and prompt member service, and maintain the vault.
  • Mentor Teller Staff: Lead by example, ensure tellers are following all credit union policies and procedures, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Cash Management: Ensure sufficient cash supply, manage cash limits, and maintain accurate records.
  • ATM Management: Assist with daily proving of ATM deposits, balancing of ATM cash, and replenishing ATM cash as needed.
  • Returned Check Processes: Assist with redeposits, collections, and associated general ledger postings.
  • Teller Audits: Perform monthly teller audits, maintain and update bait logs, and file CTRs.
  • Member Service: Provide information to members concerning credit union products, answer questions, and refer major problems or research to appropriate departments.
  • Communication: Answer the telephone, transfer calls, and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Record Keeping: Balance cash drawers daily, maintain Teller Balance Records, and understand the Bank Secrecy Act.
Requirements
  • Education: High school education or equivalent with good math and English skills.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
Working Environment

This position reports directly to the Branch Supervisor and requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
