Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Economic Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote economic growth, attract new businesses, and support existing ones.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement economic development strategies to promote business growth and job creation.
  • Collaborate with local businesses, organizations, and stakeholders to identify opportunities for economic growth and development.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to businesses and entrepreneurs to help them access resources and funding.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local government officials, business leaders, and community organizations.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for economic growth.
  • Develop and implement marketing campaigns to promote the City of Belen as a desirable place to do business.
  • Work with the City Manager to develop and implement the City's economic development plan.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of economic development initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in economics, business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in economic development or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of economic development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
