Job Summary

The Critical Care Nurse Practitioner plays a vital role in the intensive care team, responsible for managing a caseload of critically ill patients in an ICU setting. Under the direct supervision of the ICU supervising physician, the CCNP performs physical exams, collects and documents data, conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, orders laboratory studies, and prescribes interventions and medications. This role contributes to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, consulting, and leadership within the organization and nursing profession.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of critically ill patients in an ICU setting

  • Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Order laboratory studies and professional consultations
  • Prescribe interventions and medications
