About the Role

Cox Communications is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Part Time Retail Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences, driving sales, and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain and demonstrate product capabilities to customers, providing personalized solutions to meet their needs.
  • Meet or exceed sales, retention, and customer experience targets, consistently delivering high-quality results.
  • Assist with the opening and closing of our retail store environments, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos, showcasing our products and services to customers.
  • Support fellow sales agents, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Continuously expand knowledge of Cox products and services, staying up-to-date on the latest offerings and competitor products.
  • May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area.
What We Offer

As a Cox Communications employee, you can expect a competitive compensation package, including a variable targeted total compensation of $33,304 ($22.08/hr). This reflects a part-time (29 hours/week) hourly base rate of at least $17.00 and a targeted commission of $639 a month. Additionally, you will receive a ramp period of up to 2 months to adjust to commission earnings.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or up to 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a consultative, solutions-based approach to selling products.
  • Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to be mobile within the store for long periods of time to greet customers and demonstrate products and services.
  • Computer literacy with an aptitude for learning communication products, services, and accessories.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to lift 25-50 pounds to help manage stock room inventory.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college experience with a focus in sales, business, and/or management.
  • One year of experience in a related field (i.e., sales, retail sales, service industry, etc.).
  • Experience selling Wireless/Mobile products.
  • Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken.
