The ideal candidate will demonstrate a broad spectrum of data-centric skills and experience, encompassing both technical and analytical domains. A strong inclination towards problem-solving, data analysis, troubleshooting, analytical reasoning, and experimentation is essential, particularly with a focus on Cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging with extensive, intricate, and varied data sets
- Crafting and executing innovative strategies to analyze and leverage the Sponsor's data assets, especially those related to Cloud technologies
- Investigating and reporting on a diverse array of Sponsor inquiries
- Proactively addressing inquiries to the Sponsor based on observations and proposed data analyses
- Tackling complex, non-standard problems using advanced analytical techniques, while enhancing existing methodologies
- Creating tailored search solutions
- Facilitating communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant analytical tools and methodologies in one or more of the following areas:
- Applied mathematics (e.g., probability and statistics, formal modeling, computational social sciences)
- Computer programming (e.g., programming languages, statistical packages, machine learning, scientific computing)
- Proficiency in coding or scripting in at least one general programming language
- Over 10 years of experience with algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection
- Familiarity with relational databases, including SQL and large-scale distributed systems (e.g., Hadoop)
- More than 10 years of expertise in statistical data analysis (e.g., linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling methods)
- Proven ability to gather information and effectively represent/visualize it for non-technical audiences
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of, and/or practical experience with, Cloud technologies such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.
- Experience in a mission-driven environment and/or with diverse data types
Clearance Requirements:
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use hands for operating a computer and other office equipment, such as a calculator and printer.
- Capability to move around the office to access files and equipment as needed.
- Must be able to remain stationary for approximately 50% of the time
- Frequent communication with colleagues, management, and clients, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to convey accurate information in these situations.
