Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome patients, ensuring a positive and comfortable experience throughout their dental journey.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patient health histories to provide quality care.
  • Take and process x-rays and other diagnostic assessments using advanced technology.
  • Provide superior chairside assistance to dentists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts.
  • Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with strict adherence to safety protocols and OSHA/CDC recommendations.
  • Manage supply and inventory levels, ordering and expediting supplies as needed.
  • Partner with providers and team members to implement Heartland Dental systems and optimize office workflow.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of chairside dental assisting experience.
  • Working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
  • Dental assistant certification and/or x-ray certification (if required by state dental practice act).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
