Follett Retail is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Leader to oversee the Apple Department operations at our Stanford University Bookstore location. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Apple Department Team
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates and department managers.
    • Provide coaching and feedback to ensure team members meet sales and customer service goals.
  • Drive Sales Growth
    • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Collaborate with the store manager and home office to identify opportunities for growth and implement effective solutions.
  • Improve Customer Satisfaction
    • Ensure a seamless customer experience by providing exceptional service and resolving customer complaints in a timely manner.
    • Develop and implement customer loyalty programs to increase repeat business.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee inventory management, visual merchandising, and store appearance to ensure a clean and organized store environment.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
  • Vendor Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
    • Negotiate contracts and agreements to meet business needs.
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Provide regular sales and customer service reports to the store manager and home office.
    • Analyze sales trends and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in a department store or specialty retail environment.
  • High school degree or equivalent required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of computer products and technology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Compensation

$22.25-$29.94/hour, depending on location and experience.
