Job Summary

As a Computed Tomography Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality computed tomography imaging services to patients in accordance with established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and physician orders to ensure accurate and effective care.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as needed, within the scope of practice.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, and implement safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyzing results and identifying issues with image quality.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patients and repeating procedures.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Radiology Program required.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • American Heart Association or American Red Cross Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire or must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
  • License: Registered and in good standing with ARRT in Rad or registry eligible. CT certification preferred.
  • Minimum Work Experience: Six months experience in Radiology and/or CT Specialty. If no CT experience, must be willing to learn and train.
