Job Summary

As a Computed Tomography Technologist PRN with LifePoint Health, you will be responsible for providing high-quality computed tomography imaging services to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of radiology principles and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and physician orders to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
  • Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as needed.
  • Monitor patient condition and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
  • Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
  • Analyze results and identify issues with image quality.
  • Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a Radiology Program required.
  • Registered and in good standing with ARRT in Rad or registry eligible.
  • CT certification preferred.
  • Six months experience in Radiology and/or CT Specialty.
