As a Computed Tomography Technologist PRN with LifePoint Health, you will be responsible for providing high-quality computed tomography imaging services to patients. This role requires a strong understanding of radiology principles and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Review patient history and physician orders to ensure accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
- Educate patients on procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
- Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as needed.
- Monitor patient condition and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
- Prepare equipment and supplies for imaging procedures.
- Implement safety standards and perform quality control procedures on equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions as necessary.
- Position patients and perform imaging procedures.
- Analyze results and identify issues with image quality.
- Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
- Enter, transmit, and report scan results.
- Graduate of a Radiology Program required.
- Registered and in good standing with ARRT in Rad or registry eligible.
- CT certification preferred.
- Six months experience in Radiology and/or CT Specialty.
