Role Overview

Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role involves designing electrical power systems for the municipal water/wastewater industry.

Job Description

This is a technical and design consulting role that requires collaboration with experienced professionals to provide services focused on electrical power distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding design.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage tasks and oversee the work of engineering professionals.
  • Conduct field inspections, identify deviations from design, perform QA/QC of completed work, and monitor safety compliance.
  • Perform system analysis using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or other power systems analysis software.
Required Qualifications
  • 15 years of relevant work experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, preferably with an emphasis on power.
  • Professional Engineering License in Arizona or ability to obtain reciprocity in 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solid working knowledge of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams, Field Instrumentation, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) as they relate to electrical design.
  • Experience using ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or other power systems analysis software.

Arcadis offers a competitive salary range of $116,000 - $174,000 per year, depending on experience.
