Position Overview
The Automotive Service Consultant plays a crucial role in driving service sales and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for effectively managing service customers and influencing the volume of service business through professional interactions.

Key Responsibilities
- Welcome every service customer with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Acknowledge service customers promptly upon their arrival.
- Utilize prescribed service tools to enhance customer satisfaction and service sales.
- Present service menus to each customer.
- Identify customer repair needs through open-ended inquiries and document repair orders accordingly.
- Inspect each vehicle for open recalls upon arrival.
- Keep customers informed about the progress and completion of repairs.
- Prepare and track all repair orders daily.
- Occasionally seek repair approvals from extended warranty companies.
- Conduct active delivery of completed repairs to customers, ensuring they understand the services performed and their satisfaction level.
- Calculate estimates for non-warranty and extended warranty repairs.
- Handle numerous telephone inquiries daily, converting them into appointments when possible.
- Answer phone calls promptly and courteously.
- Offer shuttle services to customers for convenience.
- Transport vehicles from the bullpen to the service aisle for customer pickups.
- Schedule and monitor the progress of sublet repairs as necessary.
- Conduct vehicle history research and follow up on automated call backs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of experience in an automotive repair environment.
- ASE certification is preferred.
- General mechanical skills are essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Professional appearance is required.
Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
