This is a challenging opportunity for a highly skilled Systems Engineer Principal to join our team at SAIC. As a key member of our Systems Engineering team, you will provide technical expertise and guidance to our customers in the development and acquisition of complex aerospace systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to customers on large and small aerospace systems and technology maturation development.
  • Review and develop technical documents and acquisition artifacts, including SOW requirements and requests for proposal documentation.
  • Coordinate and participate in technical reviews, and assist customers in the execution of system development.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders and mission partner organizations to ensure successful system development and acquisition.
  • Develop technology roadmaps and assess relevant current and future technologies for insertion, applying established technology/manufacturing readiness level scales.
  • Travel may be required to support customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related scientific/technical discipline, with at least 9 years of relevant experience, or Master's Degree and at least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
  • Experience defining system/subsystem requirements and evaluating industry proposal submissions.
  • Understanding of prime hardware assembly, integration, and testing, including ground test articles.
  • Experience maturing technologies and transitioning to demonstration/operational systems.
  • Command of established technology/manufacturing readiness levels is highly desired.
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition process highly desired.
  • Effective communication, coordination, and customer engagement skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and team environment.
