About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist to lead complex data exploration and analytics projects for our Army clients. As a senior data researcher on our team, you will apply innovative AI and machine learning methodologies to drive real-world impact on time-sensitive data-driven decision-making and protect our military.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead data science projects from end to end, including data architecture, cloud computing, and model operationalization
  • Develop and implement advanced data science, natural language processing, and machine learning engineering solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions
  • Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and methodologies in data science and machine learning
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience with engineering code in an object-oriented language, such as Python, Rust, Java, R, C, C++, C#, Go, or Haskell
  • 2+ years of experience in working with algorithms or machine learning models to produce analytical or visual products for clients
  • Ability to communicate and report findings clearly and concisely for clients
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with implementing advanced data science, natural language processing, and machine learning engineering
  • Experience with engineering machine learning models and MLOps with Python, C++, or Java code
  • Experience working in a team environment for git, GitLab, or GitHub
  • Experience with scaling data engineering across distributed computing clusters, including Apache Nifi, Spark, Dask, Airflow, or Luigi
  • Experience with SQL and database technologies, including Elasticsearch, Solr, HBase, Accumulo, Cassandra, Neo4j, AWS DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS Athena, or MongoDB
  • Ability to comprehend advanced statistics in data science for measuring and evaluating machine learning models
  • Ability to work with Dataframes, SQL utilizing Spark, PySpark, or Python Pandas as well as with data formats, such as JSON, Parquet, Avro, or CSV
  • Master's degree in Data Science, ML Engineering, or similar
  • AWS Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or Solutions Architect Certification
  • Certifications in ML engineering, cloud architecture, software engineering, web development, or data science

Work Model

We prioritize the benefits of flexibility and collaboration, whether that happens in person or remotely.
