Job Summary

The Lead Certified Veterinary Technician is a key member of our veterinary team, responsible for training, supervising, and assisting veterinary support staff to ensure the highest level of animal care and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities
  • Train and supervise veterinary support staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including anesthesia and recovery.
  • Monitor patient health and well-being, and report any concerns to veterinarians.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and treatment.
  • Order and manage inventory of pharmaceuticals, equipment, and supplies.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state animal health laws and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional client service, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager to address personnel matters, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations.
Requirements
  • Must be a certified veterinary technician with at least one year of experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of veterinary procedures, including anesthesia and recovery.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and manage inventory.
  • Knowledge of federal and state animal health laws and regulations.
