We are seeking a skilled Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector to join our team on a contract basis. As an Electrical and Instrumentation Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of industrial equipment and materials to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct visual and physical inspections of industrial equipment and materials
- Witness testing and review QA/QC documentation, including MTRs
- Issue reports of findings within specified time limits
- Sign independent contractor agreement/sub-contractor agreement with SGS North America Inc.
- Electrical and/or Instrumentation Journeyman certification
- Understanding and familiarity with applicable codes and standards, such as NEC, IEEE, and ANSI, plus relevant safety regulations
- Ability to read and understand schematic wiring drawings
- Working knowledge of PLC and associated instruments
- Experience with LV, MV, and HV equipment, such as switchgear and protection devices
- Minimum of 3 years of inspection experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and composition
- Proven time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Competitive hourly rate: $35-$55 per hour
- Mileage reimbursement for round-trip driving
- Expense reimbursement for extended travel
