We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Animal Care Associate to join our team in Raleigh, NC. As a key member of our Breed Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of our research animals.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain the quality and health of our animals, including providing food and water, and ensuring their environment is clean.
- Receive, inspect, and put away incoming animals.
- Perform health observations, administer medications, take blood samples, and give injections while respecting protocols.
- Other responsibilities, including restocking supplies, may be required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Enjoys being part of a team.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Local to the area, as this role is onsite.
- Competitive hourly rate of $16.00-$18.00.
- Start times fall between 4:00am - 6:00am, working 9 hour shifts Monday - Thursday and a 4 hour shift on Friday. Weekend rotation is required.
