Diagnostic Imaging Specialist Opportunity

UPMC is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our Imaging team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures at a technical level, utilizing established scan protocols and complex imaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform computed tomography procedures, including contrast administration, with minimal supervision.
  • Utilize advanced imaging equipment for data acquisition, analysis, and reconstruction.
  • Ensure accurate coding and tracking of exams through the RIS system and proper networking to ISITE for archiving and interpretation.
  • Administer contrast media and assess patients for potential risk factors.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, demonstrating a high level of caring, listening, and respect.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program.
  • ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist or CNMT certification.
  • CT Board Certification within 18 months of hire date.
  • CPR or BLS certification.
  • Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance.
