We are seeking a skilled Echo/Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an Echo Tech, you will be responsible for performing high-quality echocardiographic studies and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Educate patients and/or patient's family regarding procedures performed
- Demonstrate competence in performance of echocardiographic studies
- Consistently perform quality Doppler and color Doppler Exams
- Acquire quality Stress Echo and Dobutamine images according to Physician and benchmark standards
- Perform quality Trans esophageal echocardiograms according to physician expectations
- Demonstrate an understanding of cardiac disease processes and acquired images
- Report findings or concerns to reading physician for prompt interpretation
- Perform all related processing required for each completed study
- Maintain equipment including cleaning and disinfecting according to department procedure and identifying problems with equipment and reporting appropriately
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
- Must have 1 year of experience
- Must have BLS and ARMDS or CCI National Certification and state-specific licensing when required
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology
