Cashier Job Description

The Cotton Patch is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating cash registers, and handling customer transactions with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide top-notch customer service, greeting customers and answering their questions in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Operate cash registers, electronic scanners, and other related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with customers.
  • Ensure accurate transactions by balancing the cash register at the beginning and end of the shift.
  • Process returns and exchanges according to store policy.
  • Assist with cleaning and stocking duties as needed.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Excellent customer service skills and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to operate available equipment, such as cash registers and scanners.
  • Necessary mathematical skills to make change and give refunds.
  • Knowledge of company products and services, as well as customer-related policies.

Benefits can be offered after 3 months of employment. Pay is $10 and up based on experience.
