Job Summary

Sonoma State University is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for enforcing laws and maintaining order on campus, while also providing a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol campus areas to prevent and detect crime
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
  • Conduct investigations and gather evidence
  • Write reports and testify in court
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and university departments
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Pass a background check and psychological evaluation
  • Meet POST certification requirements
Preferred Qualifications
  • Law enforcement experience in a college or university setting
  • Knowledge of Google Suite and technology used by law enforcement
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
