Product Line Quality Assurance Engineer
We are seeking a motivated and innovative Electromechanical Engineering Technician to join our engineering support team. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for the overall quality and reliability of our product line.
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems to determine root cause of failures.
- Fabricate and modify test fixtures and prototype parts, working from electrical/mechanical drawings as well as abstract concepts.
- Develop and implement reliable testing methods for use in both prototype and manufacturing environments.
- Generate cohesive and translatable assembly procedures, test procedures, instructions, and documentation.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers in the development, testing, and documentation of new and existing product lines.
- Coordinate with and understand the roles and responsibilities of personnel from procurement, quality control, shipping, manufacturing, and customer service and how to foster harmonious relationships between departments.
- Provide technical support and training to team members and end-users as needed.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of proven experience as an engineering technician or similar role, with a focus on hardware integration and testing.
- Proficiency with standard Office Tools (Word, Excel, Acrobat).
- Flexibility to work in various environments and adapt to changing project requirements.
- Proficiency with CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Knowledge of standard hand tools and lab equipment.
- Familiarity operating a lathe, mill, or similar equipment to create test fixtures or alter prototype designs.
- Experience building, testing, and modifying mechanical equipment to optimize performance and/or ease assembly.
- Associate degree or equivalent certificate within a field of engineering technology required.
