Job Overview

The Culinary Specialist role involves various cooking stations including sauté, prep, fry, pizza, grill, and cold stations, along with additional responsibilities as required. The position encompasses the following key duties:

  • Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a dynamic kitchen setting while ensuring food safety.
  • Quality Control: Maintain high standards for product presentation, quality, and cooking times.
  • Sanitation Standards: Keep the kitchen workspace, equipment, and utensils clean and organized.
  • Team Collaboration: Support fellow cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers as needed.
  • Menu Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of menu item preparation.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare ingredients in accordance with recipes, accommodating guest allergies and dietary restrictions.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Sweep and mop the kitchen area at the end of each shift.
  • Equipment Cleaning: Sanitize cooking surfaces and equipment daily.
  • Inventory Management: Clean out refrigerators and dispose of outdated or unsafe food items.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen trash and dispose of it properly.
  • Timely Food Preparation: Prepare all food items as instructed, ensuring cleanliness and efficiency.
  • Recipe Adherence: Follow recipes and presentation guidelines meticulously.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate standard kitchen equipment.
  • Station Maintenance: Keep your station clean and practice good safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Kitchen Organization: Assist in the cleaning and organization of kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Stock Management: Restock supplies as necessary throughout the shift.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all sanitation and food production regulations.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.

Employment Type: Full-time and/or Part-time
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Experience Required: 3 - 5 years
Shift Availability: Day shift, Evening shift, Every weekend
