Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at MD Anderson Cancer Center. As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contribute to the development of our clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient experience.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Stay current with the latest clinical research, guidelines, and best practices in oncology and advanced practice nursing.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant in the state of Texas.
  • At least 1 year of experience in an oncology setting, with a focus on advanced practice nursing or physician assistant care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Eligible for limited prescriptive authority in the state of Texas.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and clinical software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and healthcare teams.
