We are seeking a motivated and skilled Raw Materials Specialist to join our team.

Position Overview

The R&D Quality Assurance Technician will oversee the evaluation of incoming raw materials and finished products, conduct sampling and testing, manage batch releases, perform internal calibrations, and coordinate third-party testing submissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct receipt inspections and authorize the release of raw materials and finished products.
  • Perform testing on raw materials, finished products, and address customer complaints according to established specifications.
  • Maintain standards and retain samples for quality assurance.
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming materials.
  • Execute internal calibrations within the laboratory.
  • Submit samples for testing related to raw materials, bulks, and finished products.
  • Adhere to cGMP guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Follow approved testing methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Engage in additional laboratory duties and projects as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with other departments.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree in a related field is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in a quality or laboratory role within a manufacturing or production setting.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.

Skills & Expertise:

  • Ability to interpret product specifications.
  • Familiarity with the cosmetics and beauty industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of cGMP practices is essential.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to perform well under pressure and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and maintain physical activity such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
