Job Title: Production Supervisor

Michael Foods, Inc. is a leading food processing and distribution company with a strong presence in the industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor to join our team at our West Jefferson, OH facility.

Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for supervising liquid production areas, training, scheduling, and developing a team of employees. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize and follow directions with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise liquid production areas to ensure high-quality products are produced at the lowest possible cost.
  • Provide a safe work environment for all personnel, adhering to safety work rules and reinforcing safety as a core value.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality policies, procedures, and activities.
  • Manage ingredient usage and department costs, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Enforce company policies in a fair and consistent manner, encouraging employee suggestions for process improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with the operations manager, reporting on operating and employee problems, quality, safety, and control costs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food industry.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teaming skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and follow directions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform multi-functional tasks.
  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekends when required.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations.
