About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society in Ottumwa, IA. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary care team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care settings, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
  • Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions to meet the physical and psychosocial needs of residents.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered, and document resident interactions and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and caregivers.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.
