Position Overview

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting research and development initiatives by deploying advanced workflow applications within an on-premise Kubernetes framework, known as the Software Delivery Platform.

Impact and Responsibilities

Your contributions will directly influence the efficiency and effectiveness of our R&D teams. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting software teams in the effective use, integration, and configuration of the SDP platform within their projects.
  • Providing installation, system administration, and second-tier support for the internal fleet of SDP systems.
  • Collaborating with software teams to gather and understand their specific requirements.
  • Developing automation scripts to enhance software development processes.
  • Engaging with the global SETI team to refine our processes and services.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a blend of education and experience that includes:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to solve complex problems.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or similar technologies, with a focus on Linux environments.
  • A solid background in virtualization and cloud technologies, including VMware, OpenStack, Azure, or Amazon AWS.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, PowerShell, or Bash.

As part of the R&D Software Engineering Tools and Infrastructure team, you will collaborate with software groups across various locations. Willingness to travel and adapt to different time zones is essential.
