The primary responsibility of the School Speech-Language Pathologist is to conduct diagnostic assessments and provide therapeutic interventions for pediatric students within an educational environment.

The aim is to assist students exhibiting speech and language challenges in achieving their highest potential through effective therapeutic practices.


Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with school personnel and families regarding students' speech and language needs.
- Conduct thorough evaluations to assess students' requirements for continued services or potential discharge.
- Engage in the Services Plan process to establish performance levels, goals, objectives, and treatment recommendations for eligible students.
- Deliver speech therapy sessions utilizing current best practices as outlined in the Service Plan.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation as required by district policies and ethical standards, including daily notes, monthly summaries, and annual Service Plans.

Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Current licensure to practice in the relevant state or eligibility for licensure through completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
