Position Summary:
This role entails overseeing both direct and indirect labor employees within designated manufacturing areas. The objective is to utilize available resources efficiently while adhering to established work procedures, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned personnel to ensure production schedules are met efficiently.
2. Monitor equipment performance and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
3. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by achieving shop-floor Business Operating System (BOS) metrics aligned with plant goals.
4. Uphold environmental, health, and safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
5. Enforce company policies and manage employee relations in a unionized environment, addressing grievances as per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; a college degree is preferred.
- Five to seven years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
This position demands manual dexterity for tool manipulation and involves frequent walking and standing, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
