Job Overview:
The City of Salt Lake City is looking for committed professionals to fill the role of Medical Response Paramedics.

Role Summary:
As a Medical Response Paramedic, you will be integral to the emergency medical services, working under the supervision of the Fire Department personnel and in collaboration with the Medical Division. Your primary duty will be to deliver essential medical assistance and facilitate patient transport during emergencies.

Key Duties:
  • Attend to medical crises and provide both basic and advanced life support services.
  • Coordinate with the Medical Response Team to ensure effective patient care.
  • Be stationed at designated fire department locations.
  • Maintain a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate should possess a valid NREMT Paramedic certification or a Paramedic license from the State of Utah, have successfully completed paramedic training, and meet the medical standards established by the NFPA.

Essential Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Completion of paramedic training and NREMT certification is required.
  • Pass a physical ability assessment.
Selection Process:
  • Written examination via NTN FireTEAM.
  • Oral Board Assessment.
  • Technical skills evaluation.
