About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Ascension Illinois. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments to patients with respiratory insufficiencies, under the supervision of a licensed healthcare professional.
  • Deliver and assess patient response to ordered therapy, ensuring accurate and effective treatment.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to healthcare teams, providing critical information for informed decision-making.
  • Provide patient education on diseases, medications, and treatment options, empowering patients to take an active role in their care.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date.
  • High school diploma equivalency or enrollment in an accredited program specific to the discipline.
