About the Position

We are seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team as an Associate or Full Professor in Algal Biotechnology at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement research initiatives in algal biotechnology, contributing to the sustainable use of algae.
  • Design and deliver curricula to meet industry demands in algal biotechnology.
  • Mentor junior faculty members and supervise students and research engineers.

Qualifications and Experience
  • A Ph.D. in biotechnology, physiology, biochemistry, environmental science, or related field specializing in algal biotechnology.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience in algal biotechnology and seaweed & microalgae cultivation.
  • Experience in managing research teams and entities.
  • Strong leadership abilities and project management skills.
  • A robust understanding of algal biotechnology principles.
  • In-depth expertise in algal physiology, biology, and metabolic engineering.
  • Demonstrated expertise with a strong publication record in relevant fields.
  • Experience in securing research funding through grants or collaborations.
  • Demonstrated collaboration with peers nationally and internationally.
  • Understanding of the Moroccan and African institutional ecosystem is a plus.
  • Practical involvement in entrepreneurship and startup development.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
