Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist to join our dynamic clinical team at GPAC. As a key member of our team, you will provide expertise in speech and language services, working collaboratively with our students, families, and staff to support their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify students' needs, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventions.
  • Direct Therapy and Consultation: Provide direct speech and language therapy to students, and consult and collaborate with students, their families, and staff to ensure cohesive support.
  • Record Keeping and Communication: Maintain detailed and confidential records of student progress and treatment plans, and communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
  • Team Collaboration and Professional Development: Participate in team meetings, contribute to the transdisciplinary approach to student care, and stay current with best practices and advancements in speech and language pathology.
Qualifications
  • Education and Licensure: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program, and licensed or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of New York.
  • Experience and Expertise: Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a school or clinical setting, with expertise in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with students, families, and staff.
  • Professional Development and Collaboration: Commitment to ongoing professional development and collaboration within a transdisciplinary team.
