Key Responsibilities
The Mammography Technologist will operate x-ray equipment and conduct a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. This role requires a high level of precision in positioning and exposure techniques. The individual will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and efficient results, thereby influencing both the profitability of the organization and the patient experience.
Essential Skills & Experience- Digital Mammography - Required
- 3D Mammography - Required
- Preferred: Two years of experience in Mammography
- Accepting candidates with less than 2 years of experience and first-time travelers
Additional Qualifications
- Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software, and eRad is preferred
- Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is a plus
- Prior quality control experience is advantageous
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology
- Capability to stand for extended periods
- BLS Certification
- Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and current ARRT certification in Radiography
- ARRT advanced level certification in mammography or MQSA qualified
- Current on all required continuing education and experience as mandated by MQSA and ARRT
- Must possess unrestricted licensure in the state of practice
