Position Summary:

The Heavy Equipment Mechanic is tasked with the critical role of inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining trucks and heavy machinery to ensure their safe and effective operation. This position requires a blend of specialized tools, technical expertise, and analytical skills to maintain equipment in peak condition.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inspection and Diagnosis:
    • Conduct comprehensive inspections to detect mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic problems.
    • Utilize diagnostic instruments and methodologies to accurately identify issues.
  2. Repair and Maintenance:
    • Execute repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other mechanical systems.
    • Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter swaps, and lubrication tasks.
    • Service hydraulic systems, including pumps, hoses, and cylinders.
    • Engage in welding and fabrication for structural repairs and enhancements.
  3. Electrical and Electronic Systems:
    • Troubleshoot and rectify issues in electrical and electronic systems, including wiring and sensors.
    • Maintain and repair lighting, navigation, and communication systems.
  4. Record Keeping:

Qualifications:
