Position Overview
The role of the Escrow Officer involves providing essential escrow services for various real estate transactions, including residential and commercial sales, new developments, refinancing, relocations, and timeshares. You will play a crucial role in facilitating these transactions by delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining proactive communication with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the closing process.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage real estate transactions by setting up new escrow accounts, overseeing funds, processing closing documents, and finalizing settlements in line with established guidelines.
- Act as a neutral intermediary among involved parties, ensuring adherence to company policies while monitoring and mitigating potential risks.
- Understand the integration of your team with related departments to achieve common goals.
- Contribute to the team's quality, efficiency, and effectiveness through your individual efforts.
- Identify and resolve uncommon issues that may arise during the process.
- Assess and select appropriate solutions based on existing procedures and precedents.
- Effectively communicate complex information, including interdependencies within the team and with others.
- Work with limited supervision, exercising discretion to adapt work practices and processes for optimal results.
- Serve as a resource for less experienced colleagues, although this position does not involve supervisory duties.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications
A high school diploma is required, while a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Typically, this position requires over five years of relevant experience.
