We are actively seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage and requires availability for evening and weekend work, along with reliable transportation.
Individuals in this position may be required to join a Union, with associated fees and dues as per the collective bargaining agreement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct direct outreach and engagement efforts to reach underserved populations in the community.
- Act as a liaison to health and human service resources, including assistance with health insurance, food, and social services.
- Disseminate community health information at various venues such as libraries, schools, and community events.
- Professionally represent the Montgomery County Connector Entity, participating in outreach and educational initiatives to promote health insurance options.
- Handle incoming inquiries at the Health Insurance Section Call Center.
- Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries, offering guidance and referrals based on individual needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions and activities in designated systems.
- Assist with additional projects as required and perform other assigned duties effectively.
- High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is essential.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with Office 365 are required.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting is necessary.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Extended periods of sitting and computer work.
- Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with additional evening and weekend hours as needed.
- Travel may be necessary.
