POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are actively seeking a Community Outreach Coordinator. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly wage and requires availability for evening and weekend work, along with reliable transportation.


Individuals in this position may be required to join a Union, with associated fees and dues as per the collective bargaining agreement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct direct outreach and engagement efforts to reach underserved populations in the community.
  • Act as a liaison to health and human service resources, including assistance with health insurance, food, and social services.
  • Disseminate community health information at various venues such as libraries, schools, and community events.
  • Professionally represent the Montgomery County Connector Entity, participating in outreach and educational initiatives to promote health insurance options.
  • Handle incoming inquiries at the Health Insurance Section Call Center.
  • Provide timely and professional responses to client inquiries, offering guidance and referrals based on individual needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions and activities in designated systems.
  • Assist with additional projects as required and perform other assigned duties effectively.
*MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:*

  • High school diploma or GED is mandatory.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is essential.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Office 365 are required.
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Successful completion of a background check and fingerprinting is necessary.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Extended periods of sitting and computer work.
  • Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, with additional evening and weekend hours as needed.
  • Travel may be necessary.
